IBSAT is an online aptitude test conducted by The ICFAI Foundation For Higher Education (a deemed to be University under Section 3 of UGC act 1956), for students seeking admission to the MBA / PhD programs of IBS Hyderabad.

IBSAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and consists of multiple choice questions. IBSAT is of 2 hours duration and is aimed at testing the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.

CAT/ GMAT

GMAT scores (from 2011 onwards) and CAT 2014 scores are also accepted in place of IBSAT 2014. Candidates with GMAT® or CAT scores are exempted from IBSAT 2014.

However, the XAT, MAT and CMAT scores will be equalized and validated to the CAT score value and that will only be counted for the purpose of merit list. Anyone having any objection to the same, need not to apply. We do not believe in any cut-off points as we give only 30% of the weightage for the entrance examination, while making the merit list.

Group Discussions
Candidates who fulfill the qualitative requirements will be called for the Group Discussions by experts . This will be for a duration of 30-45 minutes per group. This may include role play, case studies and extempore speech and GD. 40% of the weightage in the merit list will be given to the GD process. Therefore the GD process may extend to the second day although all efforts will be made to complete the process in one day. This is an elimination round.

Essay Writing as Integral part of Interview Process. Written Communication Skill is very important for any one to succeed in the industry. Therefore, the applicants will be required to appear for an essay writing exercise on a subject, which will be given on the spot in the selection centres. This will be for 30 marks and fifty percent of the marks will be counted . This essay writing will be for half an hour. The topics will be general in nature and any one who follows the National Newspapers can easily appear for the same and score good marks.

Personal Interviews
This expert panel interview and the essay marks will carry 30% of the weightage . This panel will assess the candidates on various parameters including the suitability of the candidate for a particular specialisation. The panel will also give opportunity to the applicants to add or delete course options.

Selection Centres
While we are keen to have the admission process in all the centres mentioned below and have been having many of the centres for many years in the past, we reserve the right to cancel any of the centres depending upon the contingencies. However, it may be noted that, the hall ticket issued by us to any centre is valid to all the centres and the students who may need a change of centre due to any reason can automatically go to any other centre by just informing us through an e-mail/fax and without expecting any response to the same. Changes in dates, if any, for the Group Discussion, Essay writing and Interviews will be available on our website on as required basis. Students are therefore advised to see the website regularly.

In the last decade Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU) has emerged as a global university with a wide offering of programs and courses spanning varied educational faculties. BVDU today boasts of a state-of-the-art infrastructure, sprawling campuses, extensive teaching and learning facilities, library and research facilities.

Today Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has 32 constituent units and is one of India’s largest multi-disciplinary multi-campus universities. Over the years BVDU has contributed thousands of well trained graduates, post graduates and research doctorates to the pool of professionals in India and abroad. In line with its Motto of “Social transformation through Dynamic education” BVDU nurtures a holistic education approach that not only academically enriches the students, but also contributes to the students’ personality by nurturing innovation, creativity and practical work experience.

The University Grants Commission which is the apex body concerned with higher education in India made an assessment of the academic excellence achieved by the institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth through a committee of experts and on the recommendation of the UGC, the Government of India accorded the status of “Deemed to be University” to twelve institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth in Pune on 26th April, 1996 vide their notification No. F.9-15/95-U.3.

Later in July 2000 the Government of India on the recommendation of University Grants Commission and the All India Council for Technical Education brought three more institutions within the ambit of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University vide their notification No. F-9-15/95-4-3 dated 28th July, 2000.

The University Grants Commission vide their Letter No. F.No. 3-2/90 (CPP-1) dated 17th August 2002, have agreed to bring two more research institutions within the ambit of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University. During the year 2004, a Medical College at Sangli and a Dental College at Navi Mumbai have also been brought No. F. 9-7/2004-U.3 within the ambit of this University by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India vide its notification dt. 19th August, 2004.

In February 2005 once again Govt. of India vide Notification No. F.9-16/2004-U.3 dated 25th February 2005 brought seven Institutions under ambit of our University. In February 2007 once again Govt. of India vide Notification No F.20-28/2006. U.3(A) brought two institutes.

Navi Mumbai Campus
Bharati Vidyapeeth has two campuses in Navi Mumbai. Both these campuses are located in prime localities and are easily accessible. One is located in the Sector 7 of C.B.D. and another in Sector 8 of C.B.D. The following educational Institutions are located in these two campuses.
